DAY 229:

“God’s grace and His mercy are often used interchangeably, but the truth is, they are quite different. They are both birthed through love, but they are different! Mercy is when God DOES NOT give us what we deserve and forgives us from suffering the consequences of our actions. Mercy, on the other hand, is obtained and it causes God to consider our condition.

‘Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need,’ (Hebrews 4:16).

Grace must be found. It is help from God that we don’t deserve. However, through humility we can find it and be empowered to make changes, grow, and develop in the things of God.

The problem is not our sin, it is the condition of our heart. Our heart is our inner conscious, the real person of who we are. Pride will deceive us and keep us from seeing the error of our ways and leave us thinking we are okay, when we are opposing God’s heart. When you gain the revelation, knowledge, and understanding of true grace and mercy, and how to receive them and extend them, your heart will be changed and your actions will too..!”
