DAY 19:

“When you Pray – FORGIVE!

Over the years, I have come into contact with many people who wonder why some of their prayers are never answered. As I listen, I hear their hearts, and what do you think is screaming out of them the loudest and they can’t even hear or see it??

It’s UNFORGIVENESS!

“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses,” (Mark 11:25).

We have no right to carry offense, accusations, or unforgiveness toward ANYONE! If we don’t forgive, the Bible is very clear, we won’t be forgiven by the Father.. It is not up to your feelings, what happened to you, or how you were done wrong.

“But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses,” (Matthew 6:15).

There are many very painful and unfortunate experiences, tribulations, and trials that you may have gone through, but God is saying that even in those things, we are to forgive. WHY? Because it is your pathway to being forgiven! 

Love and mercy made the Father send Jesus, His only sinless Son to the Cross to take on the sins of the whole world.. so the world could be saved!! That not only includes yours, it includes the ones done against you. However, you must forgive others if you want to be forgiven… and when you forgive… forget, like the Lord does for you!! 

“And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more,” (Hebrews 10:17). As you start applying forgiveness to yourself and others, you will begin to see answered prayers..!!” David E. Taylor
