DAY 50:

“It is true that we should develop hearts of integrity and good character, however, as humans, we will encounter opposition, premature judgments, slander, and persecution that we must not allow to dismantle the integrity and character of our hearts. This is why we desperately need JESUS and to follow His perfect example of glorifying God in all things. The Word of God tells us that apart from Him, we are nothing.. He is the vine and we are the branches. A branch on its own will not thrive or survive, no matter how it looks for a season of time.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:” (Philippians 2:5-7)

No matter how good or bad you are, never let undue glory or premature judgments and slander from other “branches” cause you to think more or less of yourself. Learn from Jesus, who was in the form of God and made no mistakes by the way, and be of NO reputation. If you allow the gifts that God has put inside of you to draw cheers or jeers from crowds that cause your focus and glory to be on yourself, rather than on the one who gave them to you, you are seeking your own reputation and quite honestly are headed for a fall. No matter how God uses us, it is not our place to take His glory. Jesus never did and He was without sin… He did not glory in His position as the Son of God, He became a servant in the likeness of man and still.. ONLY did the will of His Father!! People of God, rise above your gift!! It is time to truly follow JESUS, get back to doing the WILL of the Father, and give Him all the glory..!!” ~David E. Taylor~
