DAY 136:

“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth..,” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).

“Have opinions, opportunities, gossip, truth, or anything else become stronger and greater than your love and loyalty for God and for people?

It’s amazing how often we selfishly preach about God’s love never failing for ourselves, but make excuses to justify, tolerate, and accept that it is ok for Christians, even church leaders, not to become like Him and develop and master love that never fails. The least and the greatest things strip most of the Body of Christ from remaining in love. Imagine if that is how God treated us?? We give ourselves excuses and permission to walk away from relationships and people because of feelings, emotions, disappointments, and a host of other fleshy things.

Love is not about who is right or wrong, it is about saving and preserving. The only thing we can take with us to Heaven is people!! We should not be so quick to want to toss them out for hurting our feelings, not agreeing with us, promoting someone else, or for simply not feeding into our insecurities and personal agendas.

Love is not based on shaky and inconsistent feelings and a feeble foundation. Love never fails, because it is built on God Himself! He is the manifestation and demonstration of LOVE and He has never and will never lose!! He doesn’t ignore our faults or sins, He confronts them in His unfailing love and we overcome. Too many in the church run from what hurts them personally or how it will look if they help someone who is in sin or making mistakes… That’s complete foolishness!! While you and I were sinners, Jehovah sent Jesus to SAVE and PRESERVE souls.. not by running from them, but by running to them with arms wide open, unto death, so He could overcome ALL sin!!

“And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins,” (1 Peter 4:8).

If you run from sin, you lack love!! Love covers a multitude of sins and preserves souls for the HARVEST..!!” David E. Taylor
