DAY 117:

“Don’t trust your tongue to be kind and gentle when your heart is bitter.. Hush until you heal so you can give instead of steal..!!

“Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips,” (Psalm 141:3).

This scripture should be a prayer of every person’s heart! It saddens me to see so many hurting, angry, arrogant, offended, bitter, and hate-filled people explosively running their mouths and speaking evil, lies, slander, and judgments against people that God has placed around them to help and befriend them! This type of character reveals the abundance of their hearts.

“… for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh,” (Matthew 12:34).

If you don’t keep a guard on your heart, you will not even realize you need to ask God to set a watch on your mouth!! Everything stems from the heart. Your success or failure in relationships, ministry, business, life, and destiny!! I am sincerely praying that you will pursue God’s love and develop the heart and tongue you need to help heal others and not use your past failures, disappointments, heartaches, and other unfortunate experiences as an excuse to hinder and hurt them. Don’t trust your tongue to be kind and gentle when your heart is bitter.. Hush until you heal so you can give instead of steal..!!” David E. Taylor
