Slate is a piece of construction material for roofing and siding. It is a fine grained metamorphic rock which can be used as a tablet for writing. It is dark gray in color and has characteristic cleavage.

Positive: Dreaming of slate could represent maturity and honor. God could be showing you a piece of slate which may be symbolic of even if you have sinned, He is wiping your slate clean and giving you a fresh start. Dreaming of a slate could represent the heart which is the currency of Heaven because when the heart is in the right place there is honor.
