DAY 63:

“God’s Righteousness over David’s Life –

If you have a temporal heart and mindset, you may think God made a mistake in His judgment concerning David. It takes an eternal heart to understand that David was more righteous than the people who were accusing him for the wicked things he did.

We know that David killed Uriah, took his wife Bathsheba and had a baby with her, and numbered the army causing 70,000 men to be killed by God’s angel… He did all kinds of wrong things and people wonder why God did not remove him from being King, like He did Saul. God did not remove David, because his throne was already established!

God was basically saying that David’s heart was in a certain place with Him eternally, because David’s heart was after God’s! Therefore, anything his accusers had to say and judge him for about his temporal mistakes or weaknesses did not matter, because his heart was already eternally established with God!!

“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment,” (John 7:24).

That is God’s righteousness, not man’s!! Some of you are reading this thinking, well I never killed anyone… but that is still a wrong judgment compared to God’s righteous judgment. Friends, this is the time to stop arrogantly and self-righteously judging people, because your sin is different than theirs.!”
