DAY 30:

What would the world look like, if we were moved by compassion?

“But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd,” (Matthew 9:36).

A religious spirit is largely driving many churches and ministries in the 21st century through premature judgments, misunderstandings, impatience, a lack of mercy, and a  corrupt capacity to love above knowledge, producing a more fragmented and hurting group of people! Even though Jesus has and always will be a beautiful example and demonstration of compassion, kindness, mercy, grace, patience, and faithfulness to us. It is time for the church to stop misrepresenting the heart of God’s compassion!

There has been such a breakdown in truly “following” after Christ. It is not enough for us to follow behind, sitting in pews, and hiding in the crowd, it is time to become doers of the Word, and follow the character and personality of Jesus in our generation and love God and people like never before!! Loving and doing even when religious people are unapproving. Until you learn to put love above knowledge, you will never know the fullness of God..!

“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God,” (Ephesians 3:19).

There will be no excuse for mistreating and neglecting people, that we have the ability to meet the needs of, if we develop the personality and compassion of Jesus in our hearts and character!

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another,” (John 13:34).

We need to begin looking out at people and seeing them the way the Father and Jesus do and not how we do, based on our knowledge or experiences with them. You need to be rooted in love Himself, if you are going to have the fruit of compassion and become light in the darkness..!!” ~David E. Taylor~
