DAY 17:

“… And The Greatest is Love

Do you only want to “win” here on earth among men, or with God here and for all of eternity?

Winning to many, is based solely on the law of God, and not the love of God. There are many who are exceptional executers of God’s law, but fail miserably at executing His love. This is not the heart of God..

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another,” (John 13:34).

I have seen Christians receive God’s love and forgiveness for their sins, but when it comes to showing that same grace, love, mercy, and forgiveness
they received to others, they can’t. They become religious and self-righteous, upholding God’s law, instead of giving what they so desperately needed themselves.. God’s love, compassion, mercy, grace, and forgiveness.

God never puts His law above His love. That is why He sent Jesus!! Without Jesus, nobody would be able to escape the law. Jesus didn’t come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it through redemption!!

There is a terrible trend in the Church today to uncover the mistakes and sins of other members of the Body of Christ, however, very few people are willing to uncover and confront the secret sins and mistakes within their own hearts. They think that exposing the outward manifestations of another’s sin, silences the secret and inward manifestations of theirs.

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess,” (Matthew 23:25).

This is the season to ruthlessly find out the truth about yourself and work out your own salvation. Excavate your heart and ruthlessly ask God to create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you..!!” ~David E. Taylor~
