DAY 74:

“Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God! This is what is required of us as followers of Christ.

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God” (Micah 6:8).

However, we see a contrary mindset within most of the Body of Christ today. Many love knowledge and taking a position of judgment, rather than one of love and mercy. Here it is, God’s mercies are new every morning, and the people who claim to follow after Him, lack the beauty of His character to be kind and merciful to ALL. After all, He sent His Son to redeem the sins of the WORLD. Why then do many find it more godly to judge rather than to save?? Oh people of God we must start looking like our creator!! Both in character and in demonstration. How can we expect to receive His mercy if we do not give it? The Bible is clear, that by the same measure we give mercy, we shall also receive it.

“Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful” (Luke 6:36).

“For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again” (Matthew 7:2).

I’m sure there are many of you who are reading this today that have experienced rejection because of things you have done or said and you needed a friend to be there, but the knowledge of your “sin” became weightier to your “friends” than their love for you, and they left you alone.. Jesus is NOT like that!! He is love and the remedy for sin.. He is not scared of your sins or mistakes. He already overcame ALL sin, that includes yours!! He welcomes sinners.. He doesn’t judge anything or anyone before time!!

“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God” (1 Corinthians 4:5).

So, be careful that you are not misrepresenting the lover of the souls of men because you lack mercy and prematurely judge people based on your capacity to love, instead of on God’s capacity to FORGIVE and SAVE.. Develop humility, love, and mercy and be a fisher of men instead of casting them away..!” ~David E. Taylor~
