DAY 9:

“Have you found yourself looking back to what was? Doubting and disbelieving the process that God has chosen to bring you into who you were purposed to become??

The devil is the master deceiver! His mode is steal, kill, and to destroy your purpose and your soul! If he can get into your thinking he can accomplish his purpose while he destroys yours! 

“Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this,” (Ecclesiastes 7:10).

Maybe you are finding that every time you take a step forward, there is a surge of persecution and opposition that seems overwhelming and impossible for you to overcome. Maybe you are experiencing people, that once stood with you, turning away and joining your enemies. Maybe the pressure and the backlash you are receiving has you contemplating turning back, and aborting your purpose, so you can be accepted by men and women for your gift or talent, even if that means missing your divine call and purpose?

Let me pose a point that will help you gain perspective. When you thought you were happier, more successful, and had less opposition, it was probably a time in your life when your relationship with Jesus was either nonexistent or very shallow.

Maybe you didn’t even realize how many of those “good ole days” did not even include or consider God’s will being done. 

Jesus is our example and His famous words to the Father, “Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” Those words were not empty, they were proven time and time again, in how Jesus submitted to the will and purpose of His Father at all times. He experienced betrayal, persecution, accusations, slander, etc., from the beginning, and never turned back or aborted His divine call, assignment, and purpose. His love was so strong and rooted so deeply that God’s will was always first and foremost in His heart!! His unfailing love made the way for our redemption.

“Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done,” (Luke 22:42).
