DAY 62:

“The Thief Desires to Destroy You… BUT Jesus Desires to RESTORE You with His Abundant LIFE! 

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly,” (John 10:10).

When Satan comes as the thief, he is sly, cunning, sneaky, and crafty. You are not going to immediately notice that he is stealing from you, if you do not put on the armor of God and develop your relationship and intimacy with Him and the Holy Spirit. 

Let’s define “steal,” “kill,” and “destroy” according to Strong’s and Thayer’s.

Steal

Strong’s – to filch: – steal Thayer’s – to steal: to commit a theft, take away by theft, i.e. take away by stealth

Kill

Strong’s – A primary verb; properly to rush (breathe hard blow 6 smoke) that is (by implication) to sacrifice (properly by fire but get generally); by extension to immolate (slaughter for any purpose): – kill (do) sacrifice slay.

Thayer’s – to sacrifice, immolate – to slay, kill – slaughter Destroy Strong’s – From G575 and the base of G3639; to destroy fully (reflexively to perish or lose) literally or figuratively: – destroy die lose mar perish.

Thayer’s – to destroy – to put out of the way entirely, abolish, put an end to ruin – render useless – to kill – to declare that one must be put to death – metaph. to devote or give over to eternal misery in hell – to perish, to be lost, ruined, destroyed – to lose.

Friends, this is where the world is right now. Satan is stealing, and killing, and destroying the abundant life Jesus came to give. People are devoid of love, gratitude, and the quality and quantity of life that salvation gives them. They are deceived by the thief and are chasing selfish ambition and self-gratification, missing the whole point of their existence. Satan is stealing salvation from people, leaving them eternally miserable, but they can’t see it because temporarily they “feel” good. I must remind you, every choice we make in this world prepares us for eternity… and that is… with God or without Him. The Word of God will never pass away!! You can’t live deceived and believe that you can live the world’s way and escape the thief… You only escape wiles of the devil by knowing the Lord and being known by Him. 

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,” (Mark 16:15).

I know plenty of people do not want to hear topics such as this, but those same people need to hear it, because Satan is already stealing, killing, and destroying them. The truth is we have a responsibility to be loyal to God and His will, to go into all the world and preach the gospel, so God’s house may be full!! It is not His heart that one should perish.. People of God… it is time to confront the thief and LOVE people to LIFE..!
