DAY 207:

“Be Like Caleb..

‘But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it,’ (Numbers 14:24).

Above all, Caleb believed God’s report! He believed the promise and refused to conform to the fearful and unbelieving opinion of the majority. Caleb denounced the popular culture of cynicism and self-pity, and for over 40 years he endured the consequences of other’s rebellion in the wilderness. He kept his WHOLE heart hopeful and faithful and finally inherited the promise!! Caleb had a different spirit.. a spirit that was following God wholeheartedly until the promise manifested and he stood victoriously on the mountain!! Miraculously, at 85, Caleb was as strong in body and spirit as was all those years before!!

When you are fully and wholeheartedly following God and the call He has on your life, it is not an emotional zeal, it is a fire that burns from pure passion for God.. not for your personal gain or ego boost. It is genuine and you will do whatever the Lord says to obey and follow Him even if it looks like you are taking impossible risks to others.

Caleb didn’t really calculate the possibility of risk. He seized God’s will without complacency or question! He stayed in faith and looked forward to the day when he would drive out the inhabitants of the land, that others feared, and inherit what God promised him!

My prayer for you today is that you will develop a passion to courageously and wholeheartedly follow the Lord and do not waver in faith as you wait for the manifestation of His promises. Sometimes you wait because of the disobedience of others, but don’t let that be an excuse or a reason to stop believing God.. He is faithful and just to do all that He said He would do… Will you be faithful, and like Caleb, be of a different spirit – giving the Lord your ALL forevermore?!”
