DAY 203:

“No matter what, rejoice and be thankful, and receive the power of divine peace!

‘Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God,’ (Philippians 4:4-6).

Philippians 4 is often quoted and devotionals are written, but is there genuine understanding of the results it brings? Let’s take the 3 verses above and see.

Strong’s defines “rejoice” as: to be full of cheer.

Strong’s defines “moderation” as: appropriate that is (by implication) mild: gentle moderation patient.

Strong’s defines “thanksgiving” as: gratitude, actually grateful language (to God as an act of worship): – thankfulness (giving of) thanks (-giving).

It is so important to understand how to pray as much as it is to pray. To rejoice is not just an outwardly expression, genuine rejoicing is an inner state of being that sparks an outward demonstration. Thanksgiving is much more than the use of words.. There is a response through demonstration and a demeanor associated with being thankful and operating in thanksgiving!!

Do you know what happens to you when you genuinely understand and practice what is outlined in Philippians 4:4-6?? Let me tell you!!

‘And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Chris Jesus,’ (Philippians 4:7).

If the enemy can steal your ability to rejoice, to be gentle and patient, and to be unthankful… he can stop you from receiving the peace of God that that keeps your heart and mind through Jesus.. My sincere prayer for you who are reading this is that you will learn to protect God’s divine peace in your life, no matter the circumstances, because you have learned and understand the importance of rejoicing, being patient and gentle, and the beauty of worshiping God in ALL things, through a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving..!”
