DAY 198:

“Will you trust God and endure in love while you wait?

‘My times are in thy hand…” (Psalm 31:15).

In the mentality of today’s world, many find waiting longer than a few minutes for anything to be most uncomfortable, and for others, it is nearly impossible!! Society has conditioned families and individuals to believe that anything they desire should be in their possession in mere minutes. It has also been made acceptable and in some circles justifiable, to throw a tantrum, murmur, complain, and behave like a spoiled – ungrateful – brat if you do not get what you want when you want it.. even if it will harm you or you are not mature enough to receive it.

Unfortunately, this contradictory and unstable mindset has trickled into areas of our lives where waiting is a must, even in the Body of Christ.

Don’t you know how much God loves you? Don’t you know that He predestined His best for you? Don’t you know that He is the BEST and He knows that you need preparation, patience, and proper understanding before you can obtain and inherit the promises He purposed for you?

‘That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises,’ (Hebrews 6:12).

Oh sure, you can get something prematurely, but prematurely mixed with immaturity, can be the perfect recipe for a destiny.. gone disaster.. The Father and Jesus are not being mean and they have not forgotten that you are believing them for things.. but have you forgotten how to wait? Have you lost sight of the beauty and the value of what you are waiting for?? Have you lost interest in the need to prepare yourself in God and in His perfect timing?

‘But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint,’ (Isaiah 40:31).

Friends, how you wait is important!! Don’t get obscured vision or become deceived by the length of the wait. Step back and see clearly what God is waiting on you to do.. to be properly prepared.. so when He comes, He can find you ready to receive and ready to soar..!”
