DAY 138:

“Do you really understand the wonder of God’s love for you and others?

“Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them,” (Psalm 17:7).

Sometimes we just read God’s Word based on how society complacently interprets words today.. Something that is “marvelous” to a person who is in their 80s will often be interpreted as something much differently by someone in their 20s. Over the years, words with great and weighty meaning have been diluted, and are now used to describe things of lesser value, when they really have far greater meaning. We must pursue the meaning and get the understanding to trust and believe God at the level and depth He is speaking to us!!

In reference to Psalm 17:7, the New Oxford American Dictionary defines marvelous (adjective) as: causing great wonder; extraordinary or extremely good or pleasing; splendid.

The Oxford American Writer’s Thesaurus considers these words to be synonyms with marvelous: Amazing, astounding, astonishing, awesome, breathtaking, sesational, remarkable, spectacular, stupendous, staggering, stunning; phenomenal, prodigious, miraculous, extraordinary, incredible, unbelievable, wondrous.

The Strong’s Concordance (H6395) “palah” is a verb defined as: A primitive root; to distinguish (literally or figuratively): – put a {difference} show {marvellous} {separate} set {apart} {sever} make wonderfully.

Now, let me ask you again, do you really understand how God loves you? My prayer for you is that you truly will take the time to learn and understand what God’s love means to and for you, and how this is the kind of love that never fails. God wants us to become wonders of His love too… but we must study, learn, understand, and truly receive His marvelous and wondrous love so we can give it out right and begin winning the harvest at a greater pace..!”
